What Is an IBMS (Integrated BMS)?

The Founder's Explanation (Teach Exactly This Way)
"An orchestra. Violin, drums, flute — each player alone is just noise if they do not listen to each other. The conductor brings them into one performance, everyone in time. Five separate building systems — fire, HVAC, access, CCTV, lift — are those separate players. IBMS is the conductor. Fire plays, and immediately doors open, fans stop, lift comes down — one performance."Teaching the Concept
The Orchestra Conductor A violin, a drum and a flute playing without listening to each other are just noise. A conductor brings them into one performance, every instrument in time. A building's fire, HVAC, access, CCTV and lift systems are those separate players. Without a conductor they cannot act together. An IBMS is the conductor that makes them play as one. Integration ``` HVAC + FIRE + ACCESS + CCTV + LIFTS | one IBMS platform (head-end) connected via native protocols / gateways ``` Interlocks Only an IBMS Can Run ``` FIRE alarm -> release ACCESS doors on the floor -> stop / smoke-mode the AHUs -> recall LIFTS to ground -> point CCTV at the zone ``` An IBMS turns separate systems into one nervous system — so the building responds as a whole.Related Topics
